چکیده

Abstract Thrombosis in general, and especially venous thromboembolism (VTE) is one of the most common complications associated with COVID-19 infection. We present a 48 years old male patient dyspnea severe multisite post Covid-19 disease thrombotic complications, pattern never seen before, that includes both ventricles, pulmonary arteries peripheral vein involvement, assessed by echocardiography, vascular ultrasound CT angiography.

Detection of left atrial thrombi by echocardiography.

A group of 111 patients with mitral valve disease was studied by M-mode and two-dimensional echocardiography. Five left atrial thrombi were demonstrated, two of which had probably been the source of previous embolic events. Two-dimensional echocardiography was superior to M-mode in providing spatial orientation. Using multiple cross-sections the exact localisation and the size of the thrombus f...

Post-Operative Multiple Thrombosis Associated with Patent Foramen Ovale: Embolic Stroke, Right Atrial Thrombi, Pulmonary Embolism and Deep Vein Thrombosis

Patients undergoing total joint arthroplasty frequently develop post-operative complication, such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary thromboembolism. However, it is not common coexisting deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary thromboembolisms, right atrial thrombus and acute cerebral infarction raised by thrombus through patent foramen ovale. We reported the patient who had multiple thrombi which w...

Pulmonary artery thrombi detected by echocardiography in patients with pulmonary hypertension secondary to atrial septal defect.

This report presents three patients with severe pulmonary hypertension secondary to atrial septal defect associated with thrombus and spontaneous echo contrast within the pulmonary artery diagnosed by transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography. Clinical and echocardiographic features seem to suggest local thrombus formation within the pulmonary arteries as a direct consequence of pulmo...

Detection of right pulmonary artery thrombosis by two-dimensional echocardiography.

of an inadequate data base (the point of my column). I am sorry that the word "pressure" was inadvertently substituted for the word "resistance," but what has that to do with the relationship between pulmonary vasodilator treatment and patient outcome? To state that the level of PVR correlates in untreated patients with survival and, hence, to imply that reducing PVR by drugs improves survival,...
